Social Development

Our Social Services Department is dedicated to empowering our community with responsive support services, advocacy, and pathways to self-sufficiency, promoting the well-being and success of individuals, families, and the community. We provide financial assistance, employment services and training opportunities, and disability supports that help eligible OKIB Members, residents living on reserve, and their families build brighter futures. Through Income Assistance, Employment and Training Programs, and Community Partnerships, we connect individuals and families with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
We’re here to support you with a range of services designed to help you and your family thrive. This includes:
Monthly Income
Assistance (IA)
Help with shelter and utility costs, and support for your basic needs
Special needs requests, eligibility assessments and reviews
Case planning to help you set and reach your goals
We also work closely with community programs, health services, and outside agencies to fill any gaps. If you need support beyond what we offer directly, we’ll help you find it and connect you to the right people.
