Housing

OKIB Housing supports community members by providing a variety of housing options, rental services, and resources to meet community needs. Housing options include rental options, single and multi-family housing, support for home renovations and new home builds. Applications and resources are available to help guide members through eligibility requirements and the application process.

OKIB also manages rental applications through a waitlist process and offers Facility rental spaces to support community events.

Community members can access housing applications, waitlist information, and facility rental forms through the available resources.

Our Housing department offers a variety of housing options to support community needs, including 6-plexes, 4-plexes, triplexes, a duplex, Duck Lake Apartments, and the Bluebird Building Elders Units, along with limited single detached homes available through a rent-to-own program, which do not become available often. Community members can apply for housing, home renovations, or new home build and purchase support through the following forms. Each application includes details about eligibility, requirements, and the process to help guide you in finding the housing option that best fits your needs.

Rental Process

There is a waitlist for rental units. Each application gets rated with the same criteria and that rating determines their position on the waitlist. The waitlist is updated regularly, and each person has a unique code. You can check the list anytime to see your current position and get a sense of where you are in the process of securing a rental. The Social Housing Rental Waitlist has been updated with those who have submitted their updated New Social Housing Applications. Priority for Applicants who have the same rank will be determined by the credibility of their references. If you do not see your waitlist code, this means that you have not submitted your updated application.
