Additional Resources
Caring for a family member is rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Where possible, the Home and Community Care team can discuss respite options and connect families with available supports.
Some respite, assisted-living, or long-term-care services are managed by outside organizations. OKIB staff can help with information and referrals, but we do not control outside placement decisions or bed availability.
Your personal health information is private. We collect, use, and share information only when needed to support your care, with your consent, or when required by law.
Please contact the Home and Community Care team if you have questions about your care plan, records, consent, or privacy.
During extreme heat, wildfire smoke, evacuations, or other emergencies, the Health Department may contact clients who are at higher risk.
With consent, the Home and Community Care team may collect limited information to help plan for needs such as:
- Mobility support and transportation
- Oxygen or medical equipment and medication support
- Caregiver availability or temporary respite and alternate-care needs.
- Cooling or clean-air needs
