Family Strengthening Team

The Family Strengthening Team supports parents and caregivers with guidance, advocacy, and access to resources, helping children stay safely connected to their family, culture, community, and identity. We’re here to help families work through challenges and build strong support systems along the way.
Our role is to walk alongside families, recognizing the strengths that each family already brings, while helping identify resources, build skills, strengthen supports, and find ways forward. Our goal is to keep children safely connected to their family, culture, community, and identity. To do that, services are flexible, voluntary, and tailored to each family’s unique circumstances.
This program offers holistic, family-centred support. This includes:
Parenting guidance
Support with family goals and planning
Help navigating systems and services, and accessing resources and referrals
Mental wellness support
Child and youth advocacy
Stronger connections to culture and community
Coordinated wraparound support when additional needs arise
