Cultural Safety Education
Cultural Safety Education offers a two-day workshop on Cultural Safety Education that highlights:
- Syilx Identity
- Pre-contact
- Canada’s Hidden History
- Understanding Truth & Reconciliation
This training is hosted in the wellness space at our office. We offer certificates of participation for those who complete the two-day sessions.
Cultural Safety Education strives to provide a welcoming space for all people to learn and reflect on the impacts of colonization and the strength and integrity of syilx peoples. This education is open to OKIB members and staff, community members, local organizations and local businesses. Our hope is to support building culturally respectful spaces for OKIB members, wherever they receive services.
