OKIB Fire Department

If this is an Emergency, Call 911

The Okanagan Indian Band Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response services to the OKIB community. The department works to protect lives, homes, and community infrastructure through fire suppression, emergency response, prevention, and public safety education.

Firefighters respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle incidents, and other situations where community safety may be at risk. The department also works closely with other emergency services and neighbouring jurisdictions to ensure coordinated response when needed.

In addition to emergency response, the OKIB Fire Department plays an important role in fire prevention and community preparedness. This includes supporting fire safety awareness, assisting with inspections and risk reduction, and helping ensure the community is prepared for emergencies.

Through training, preparedness, and rapid response, the OKIB Fire Department works to keep the community safe and support the well-being of OKIB Members and residents.
